September 6, 2012

Don't forget about the annual Grandparents Day Breakfast to be held this Sunday from 9:30-12:30 at the Civic Center in Max. A free will offering will be taken to help defray the cost of printing the monthly Community Calendar that you receive free. September 9th, mark it on your calendar.

Civic Club meets at 7 p.m. on Monday, September 10th, at the Max Civic Center. Did you notice how much yours and others children saved on their swimming lessons at the YMCA this past summer, if the parents were members of the Civic Club?  It is quite a savings - the monthly meetings give you a few hours away from the house - and a time to visit with adults!

St. Matthew's L.W.M.L. met on Saturday with Donita Hauf as the hostess and Idamae Hauf had the Bible Study. Each brought along some old school pictures of themselves and then each was to guess who it was!! That sounds like fun!  Reminder:  their Grain Train will again be collecting clothing etc. to help out Missions, far and near. There will be more details on this later as the time for collecting comes nearer.

Max Civic Club's Annual Steak Fry, Saturday, October 27th at the Max Civic Center. Get your tickets early.
