Water Line Break in City of Max: From "In the Loop," June 28, 2013, 12:50 pm

Though our water outage of this morning resolved briefly, the City of Max is experiencing a new water outage due to a water line break in the city.  The expected duration of the outage is not known at this time.

The City of Max is experiencing an unexpected temporary water outage as the city's water tower project gets under way.  When water service resumes, the city will be receiving water on line pressure only through North Prairie Rural Water.  The city and the engineers working on the project are doing everything possible to make sure that residents continue to have adequate water service throughout the duration of the project.  Today's outage is just one of a few kinks that may have to be worked out as the project gets started.  The end goal is a refurbished water tower that will serve the city well for many years to come.  Hang in there, residents, and maxnd.com will pass on any information it has as the water tower project progresses!

A very Happy Birthday to Richard Podruchny, formerly of Max. Richard will turn 80 on June 29th. Richard and Marianne now live in Minot.

The Max Senior Citizens potluck and meeting will be at 6 p.m. tomorrow, Friday, June 27th. The Senior Center is air-conditioned so come visit and see what we are all about!
