News from Texas! Elijah Randall Haugeberg was born to Chad and Brandi on March 8, 2010. He joins his parents, big brother, Easton, and big sisters, Chloie and Caylee, at home in Arlington, Texas. Grandparents are Richard and Sheryl Haugeberg of Max. Great-grandparents are Don and Jeanette Haugeberg and Doris Anderson of Minot.
The community would like to extend their sympathy to Mary and Tom Hauf in the death of their daughter, Stacy Roberts. Stacy was killed in an automobile accident.
On Friday, June 25, Mary Lushenko celebrated her "39th" birthday with friends and relatives visiting and sharing stories and refreshments. She says that at this age, she is going backwards now. She had 23 friends and relatives from Minot, Kief, Benedict, and Max at her party plus several calls from relatives and friends during the day. She had each attendee draw a number from a cup and later on they went to find their numbered "goodie bag". A fun time was had by all and she so appreciated all the good wishes.
There is a need for a wheelbarrow or a garden cart in Max. For more information, please phone John at 679-2600.
Upcoming events are the Max Alumni Association meeting, being held on Sunday, July 11th at 2 p.m. It is very important that everyone who can attend. You do not need to be a Max Alumnus.
