Friday, February 3, Max Cossacks play 4 games at the Minot Auditorium against TGU. The games are at 3:30, 5:00, 6:30, and 8:00. During the varsity games at 6:30 and 8:00, the Brick Studio Competition Dance Team will be performing, group III at the 6:30 game and group IV at the 8:00 game. Dancing with group IV during the 8:00 Boys Varsity game will be 4 girls with Max ties. Brooke Schroeder, Alex Schroeder, Rebecca Kostenko, and Brekkyn Sundahl. Brooke and Alex are Duane and Lynae Schroeder's daughters, Rebecca is Ron and Peggy Kostenko's daughter, and Brekkyn is Matt and Tara Sundahl's daughter (the boys JV coach and PE teacher in Max.) Hope you can come and watch the games and also see the girls dance!

The Max Senior Citizens had a wonderful catered meal on Friday, the 27th. Following the meal, the retired teachers read some thought provoking and comical writings to the 20 in attendance. A short business meeting was held. It would be appreciated if you could bring non-perishable foods to each meeting to help out the McLean County Food Pantry in Washburn.

Larry Irwin, class of 1959, gave the Over 55 Club a hand carved train in which each car was a letter, spelling out 'Max Over 55 Club'. It is a beautiful piece of work and is on display at the Senior Center.

A reminder that the Max Community Library's 4th Annual Soup and Sandwich Lunch is on Sunday, February 12th with serving from 10:30-1:30. Purchase the Raffle tickets now.

The Plunge can is sitting out on the pond so you can start buying tickets for your guesses as to what day, hour, minute the can will fall into the water.

Various churches and senior groups in the area are having quilting days now so you may find this interesting. Back on July 9, 1925 Percale fabric was 16 cents a yard!
