A request for housing in Max or the area has been received through the www.maxnd.com website. It comes from Joe Paulson whose wife is the former Natalie Roberts from Douglas. There is a free local seminar coming up in Minot regarding who is eligible for Medicare at the age of 65 or eligible for Medicare due to a disability. Presentations will include Medicare 101 training, Medicare Part D, Medicare supplements and Medicare Advantage plans. This will be held on August 11th. from 6:30-9 at the Minot Commission on Aging office, 21 first Avenue S.E. Registration for this is required by July 30th. This coming Sunday, June 14th at 6 o'clock p.m. in the Max City Park, the third annual Welcome Summer Solstice potluck-BBQ-picnic will be held. All you need to bring is your favorite salad or dessert to share, and also your own beverages and chairs. The meat, buns, plates, cups and utensils will be provided. There will be music by the Nite Owls. Alot of fun and games too. This is being sponsored by the Max Civic Club.
The next day, Monday the 15th, the Summer Reading program will be held at the Max Library at 10:30 a.m. On Thursday the Hayne's auction will begin at 4:00 just off Main Street. The Max Seniors will be serving lunch.
