The week-end was busy with the 5K Run Friday
evening and it was a beautiful evening to be outside! Saturday was busy with
nearly a dozen garage sales going on in Max. These sales were very interesting
and we hope all of you sold a lot of your items.
At the Civic Center on Main Street, vendors of
various products and services were set up for everyone to view and enjoy. If you weren't too worn out by then, you could
join in with the group doing Zumba Dancing in the City Park.
The best came at the end of the day - a potluck
picnic and a lot of visiting.
Brenda Hauf Reister enjoyed these events with her
Mother.
Cole Zaderaka from Minot enjoyed fishing with a
friend and his father on Father's Day. But the day took a twist when their
motor failed, in the middle of Lake Sakakawea. They drifted to the Snake Creek
Embankment while it was still daylight. A very nice stranger found them and
towed them to the shore. But now what - the pickup and boat trailer were at
another area. More relatives became involved and everyone and everything was
reunited! And Cole still likes to
fish! They all did catch walleyes but
threw them back in.
