The Max Commity Library will be closed Thursday, December 30th due to the bad weather.

The community extends sincere sympathy to Pete and Joy Lies and their family in the death of Joy's Mother, Eleanora Fliginger of Garrison. She passed away unexpectedly on Christmas Day at the age of 92. We are so sorry.
When you get the McLean County Independent newspaper, there will be only one day left before all the deadlines are up for the Plan D Prescription Plan and for getting recipes into the Seniors. If the weather does what is forecast, the newspaper will likely be delayed.
As of Monday, Dec. 27th, 386 recipes had been entered into the g and r publishing website, for the Seniors cook book. What a fantastic job everyone has done. Thanks for contributing.
Something else to be very proud of for such a small town is the Max website that was redesigned in June of 2009. It has had over 10,000 reader visits!! Fantastic job, Tamra Huesers.
The Max Library Partners will be having their board meeting on January 4th at 9 a.m.
Don't forget to contribute photos for the Max website.
