Tomorrow, Friday the 27th is the Max Senior Citizens' 6 o'clock potluck with the meeting to follow. At this meeting there will be a short video on osteoporosis which the public is invited to see.
School in Max has started. Please drive slow and watch for the students walking to and from school.
The next alumni meeting for planning the All School Reunion to be held in 2011, will be at 3:00 at the school on September 12, a Sunday. The public is invited to attend.
Visitors at Lila Fannik's home have been Virginia and Harold Sides of Stockbridge, Georgia and Hubert Reed of Little Rock, Arkansas. Harold and Hubert were in the service together so had alot of fun visiting with each other and everyone else.
Also visiting with Lila and others were Don and Jan Meronuck of Fargo, along with their daughter Jina Lee and her children Yvonne and Andrew of Bismarck. Jeremy Meronuck and friend Ramona from Las Vegas, Nevada visited as did Mel Opstad of Big Lake, Minnesota. Other visitors were Clayton and Sharon Narum of Minneapolis, Phyllis Narum, Steve and Joanie Narum and their grandson Gabrial.
Many relatives and friends attended the beautiful garden wedding of Shawna Fannik and Jesse Schroeder at Homer and Alvie Nesson's residence on Saturday, August 14th. Shawna's parents are Dennis and Karla Fannik of Max. Jesse's parents are Robert and Debra Schroeder of Ohio.
A note to others in and around the community, there are former students and residents who would like to read where friends have moved to. Send me your message as to who has come to visit you or where you have gone to visit with former Max residents.
