We extend our sincere sympathy to Dwight and DeeOn Mack and their families in the loss of Dwight's oldest brother, Eugene. The funeral was Wednesday morning in Harvey, N.D. Please know that we care!
The Varsity Boys Basketball McLean County Tournament will be held in Underwood this Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, January 7, 8, and 9th.
This coming Monday, January 11th, Max Civic Club will hold their supper and meeting at 6 p.m. at the Civic Center. At 9 p.m. there will be a Post Prom meeting held in the school cafeteria, following the basketball games against Newtown. These games start at 5:45 and 7:15.
The second week in January provides Well Child and WIC at 9 a.m. and Foot Care at 1 p.m. on Thursday, January 14th. There will be a Girls' Basketball Co-op Public Meeting at the Max School at 7 p.m. this Thursday, the 14th, also. This meeting is open to the public.
The new bleachers are installed in the Max School gym but donations to pay for these would be very much appreciated. All contributors will be recognized sometime this coming fall. You may send your donation to: Max Public School; Bleacher Fund; P.O. Box #297; Max, ND 58759, or you may drop it off at the school office.
Reminder: The Max Public Library on Main Street, inside the Civic Center, is open Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 10 a.m. to noon and opens again from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m.
