Guess what - it is time for Santa to visit the city! Max's Santa Day event will be Saturday, Dec. 11 with serving of a free breakfast from 9:30-11:30. Santa will be there with treat bags for the kids. This free breakfast is sponsored by Bremer Bank and Insurance.
Dec. 31 is the deadline for getting your recipes in for the Senior Citizens Cookbook. Bring them to the Seniors' Christmas potluck/party on Dec. 17 at noon at the Max Senior Citizens' Center on Main Street. Please bring a non-perishable food instead of a gift. The food will be for the Resource Center in Washburn.
Enrollment is now open for Part D Medicare prescription drug insurance. Compare your present plan or enroll now. Call Dwight or DeeOn Mack at 679-2623 to set up an appointment to meet them at the Max Senior Center (Over 55 Club building on Main Street) to privately discuss your plan. You really can save a lot by having your prescriptions on one of these plans.
"People who soar are those who refuse to sit back, sigh and wish things would change. They neither complain of their lot nor passively dream of some distant ship coming in. Rather, they visualize in their minds that they are not quitters; they will not allow life's circumstances to push them down and hold them under." Charles R. Swindoll
