Attention all members of Our Saviors Lutheran Church. Don't forget to call Jessica Henne (679-2256) to set up an appointment for your family photo for the new church directory. Photos will be taken on Wednesday, April 7th. The spots are filling fast and the deadline to set up your appointment is March 14th. If you are unable to make an appointment, don't forget to submit your own picture for $5.00. The book won't be complete without you.
World Day of Prayer Service will be held March 5th at 7:30 at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Max. Mrs. Gordon Olson (Judy) of Burlington will be the guest speaker. She has spoken at these services before and is a very dynamic speaker. Everyone is welcome.
Visitors with Frances Spitanik at the Meadows on Saturday were Ronnie and Peggy Osadchy, Lorna Sambor and Lila Fannik, all of Max, Dan and Gloria Lies of Douglas and Bud Carlson of Garrison. Lila and Lorna also attended the birthday party for LaVerne Malling and her sister, Luella Lukach.
The Max Library has been given a book donated by Myron E. Sveum, who grew up in the Max area. This book, entitled "An Eclipse Odyssey on the Trans-Siberian Railroad," tells of his trip on the railroad while he was seeing Russia.
