July 2, 2015

Are you seeing pink flamingos on the lawns of local residents? There is a reason they are there and now is your turn to have them put on the lawn of a friend, or otherwise, in Max. I called for information but was unable to get any more in time for this publication.  So for more on the flamingo infestation, please call someone on the Max Ambulance board. Help support!

A repeat from last week's news: There is a Memorial Celebration honoring Marleys (Lindquist) and Jack Hoch, on July 19th, 2015 at the Max Senior Center from 2-4 p.m. Come join Marleys' children, Connie, Ron, and Carla as we celebrate and remember them. Urns are to be placed at Zion Lutheran Cemetery July 21, 2015.

This was sent in by Pattie Olson Foley: The Adolph Olson Family Reunion will be held at the Max Community Center on July 11th, 2015 from 10-4 p.m.

Connie Sambor of Mpls. has been here to visit her Mother Lorna and also other family and friends. Connie made plans to meet on Sunday afternoon for lunch in Bismarck where we met up with Sharon Strilcov, Lois Malling, Julie Brude, LaVonne Fannik, Phyllis Narum, Lorna Sambor and Lila Fannik. Later we attended the Southern Gospel singers and musical by The Callingsworth Family at the Calvery Baptist Church in Bismarck.

The next big event is getting closer. The Max Annual Rodeo will be held on August 7-8, along with city wide rummage sales both days, 5K run and street dance. Refer to the back of your free Community Calendar for more information on this.
