Reminder: Call Lynae Schroeder at 679-2505 if you want your child or children to take swimming lessons this summer. The first session will run from June 7-11 and the second session will be from August 2-6. These lessons will be held at Minot's Y.M.C.A. from 2:00 - 3:30, with a cost of $32.50 per child.
Tomorrow morning, Friday May 21st at 10:00 is Kindergarten graduation at the Max School. Then Saturday, May 22nd at 2:00 is High School graduation at the Max Public School.
The Max Senior Citizens' potluck and meeting will be held on Friday, May 28th at 6:00 p.m. at the Over 55 Club building. We will learn during the meeting how well Older Americans' Day went for the group.
Max Public Library's Summer Reading Program for 2010 starts on June 3rd at 10:30 a.m. at the Community Library and Civic Center, all on Main Street.
Monday, May 10th was the last session of the Good News Club at the Max School cafeteria. There were 22 children in attendance. Todd Erickson, N.W. Director of Child Evangelism, from Bowbells, N.D. and Ben Vinje of Minot, both led the class. Camden and Taylor Johnson both had perfect attendance and learned the Bible verses. Everyone enjoyed it.
Visiting with Margaret Scurlock and Frances Spitanik in Garrison on Mothers’ Day were Lorna Sambor and daughter Phyllis, and Lila Fannik.
Sunnyslope Homemakers Club met last Tuesday at Mavis Zahursky's home in Minot. Six members and one visitor were present.
