Congratulations to Wade and Cristy Haugeberg on
the birth of their daughter, Tessa Lee. She was born on March 29 and joins her
parents, her big brothers Bryce and Jake, and her big sister Rylie at home in
West Fargo. Grandparents are Richard and Sheryl Haugeberg of Max.
Great-Grandparents are Donald and Jeanette Haugeberg and Doris Anderson of
Minot.
We extend our very sincere sympathy to Virginia
Fannik Sides in the unexpected death of her son, Christopher Sides, 41. He is
the son of the late Harold and Virginia Sides of Georgia. Christopher Sides is
Lila Fannik's Grandson, with Carolyn and Allen Barden, Dennis and Karla Fannik,
and many others, all relatives living in Max and the area. We are so sorry.
Virginia's husband, Harold Sides, passed away about six months ago and
Christopher was their only child. Please remember Virginia in your prayers.
We hear that Lorna Sambor has to stay at the
Benedictine Living Center for a few more weeks. She was anxiously waiting to
return to her home in Max, when the doctor found more problems with her
surgery. Hurry and get well, Lorna.
Ethel Hauf of Max celebrated her birthday on
Friday with many friends at the Max Cafe. Then after spending time with her
husband, Erwin, at the Benedictine Living Center, she was invited out for
supper. What a super birthday, Ethel!
Tomorrow, Friday, August 24th is the Max Senior
Citizens potluck and meeting at 6 p.m.
Pictures of the students will be taken on
Tuesday, August 28th at the Max Public School.
Everyone is watching the new Cenex C Store and
fueling area take shape. It is a great addition to welcome those coming off
Highway #83.
