August 9, 2012

Somebody turned the thermostat up again! And it is to be hot all week. Saving gas and time by not having to cut the grass but we'd all rather have it green instead of brown, as it is turning.

This past Saturday's City Wide Garage Sales event hosted 21 sales throughout the community and rural areas. All locations were located on a map of the town and area so you should have had an easy time finding them all.  Alot of hard work in preparing the items to sell.  But we are hoping everyone is happy with their sales and others, their purchases. Probably see you there again next year!!

Help is needed at the Max Public School in jobs and in volunteer jobs. Check it out on the back side of this month's community calendar, a light blue color.

Max Civic Club will be meeting Monday, August 13th at the Civic Center on Main Street.  Meals on Wheels are served at noon sharp on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays at the Max Senior Center. Senior Citizens potluck and meeting will be held at 6 p.m. yet on Friday, August 24th.

Not everyone texts but to bring you up to their vocabulary, here is the vocabulary for the Seniors to use, along with what it means: Enjoy! BYOT..... Bring Your Own Teeth; CBM.....Covered By Medical; CGU.....Can't Get Up; and here you go, CUATSC.....See You At The Senior Center!
