July 26, 2012

These next two weeks are busy ones in Max. Tomorrow, Friday July 27th, the Max Senior Citizens have their 6 o'clock potluck and meeting.

Saturday July 28th is the Demolition Derby on the west edge of Max at 1 o'clock.

Then the next week-end, August 3-4, the Max Annual Roughrider Rodeo will be held in Max.  City-wide garage sales will be held on the 4th.  Please phone Crystal Haugen if you are having a sale as she needs to have your location on the Garage Sales map. The response is very good with ten sales already signed up and the sales aren't for another nine days.  In next week's McLean County Independent there will be more information on this City-Wide event.

Isn't this something - the farmers are combining their winter wheat and it is still July. All the crops are looking good.  Hopefully rain will come this week but sadly they do say possible hail too.

This is North Dakota State Fair week in Minot, so we have typical Fair weather - hot. Please take it easy on the very hot days and stay as cool as you can.
