There is a very nice compliment in the
"Guestbook Entries" on the Max website from a Maryland man. Greg King
writes: "I have driven through Max a couple of times. It is a quaint
little town that is very peaceful looking. I will try to visit again on my next

The Annual Max Roughrider Rodeo is August 3-4.

Virginia Sides and her four grandchildren, Amber,
Taylor Brooke, Collin, and Taylor Dean all of Georgia came to visit Lila
Fannik's home. They came to attend Casey Fannik and Samantha Benzmiller's wedding
in Minot on June 30th. The ten days they were here were full of fun and went by
too fast.
Angele Becker of Swansea, MA, daughter of Sarah
and Adam Becker will spend the summer with her grandparents, Carolyn and Robert
Barden in Max.
This week Rod Kastner of Bemidji, MN visited Lila
Fannik before he returns to do missionary work at Zimbabwe, Rusitu Bible
College in Africa. He has taught there in Africa, Nigeria and Zimbabwe, for 30
years. While here he visited Lorna Sambor, Phyllis Narum, Dennis and Karla
Fannik, Mary Lushenko, and John and Shirley Sizemore.

July 27th.
Demolition Derby in Max at 1 p.m. on July 28th.
