Delayed: Recent visitors at Lila Fannik's home
were Thena Holmen from San Francisco, CA and her brother Tim and Connie Holmen
from Ohio. They are the grandchildren of Tena Kapusta of Max.
Joe Huettl is looking for volunteers who may be
willing to help with the Max Demo Derby that will be taking place on Saturday,
July 28th at 1 p.m. Anyone interested can call him at 701-391-5897. More

Summer Rec. starts soon in Max. This year the
programs are expanding to include Girls' Softball in addition to T-Ball and
PeeWee Baseball. Practices are as follows on May 22, 23, and 24th: PeeWee Baseball and T-Ball from 10-11 a.m.
and Girls' Softball from 11-12 noon. Further practices will be announced. (Check maxnd.com for complete schedules.) The
first games will take place on June 12. Practices will be held at the baseball
diamonds behind the Max School. If you have any questions, call Sara Ruhland at

Can you believe it - the last day of school in
Max is this Friday, May 18th. Kindergarten Graduation will be held at 10 a.m.
on that Friday. Congratulations little
kindergarteners. In twelve quick years you will be graduating again, this time
from Max Senior High. The Class of 2012 graduates this Saturday, May 19th at 2 p.m.
in the Max Public School. Everyone is welcome to attend these two graduation
ceremonies.
May 25th the Max Over 55 Seniors will have their
potluck and meeting, starting at 6 p.m. This is always held at the Over 55 Club
building on Main Street in Max. Come
join us and bring a friend or two.....we are always excited to get new members
and you will be welcomed with open arms. The yearly dues are only $10 per
person. There is a lot of food, fun, and education for that price.
