The Senior Citizens had a very good potluck and
meeting on Friday with two speakers talking about ADRL - support programs and
items for the disabled in the community and surrounding area; basically for
McLean County. It was very interesting and a lot of questions were asked.
Visitors were there from Garrison, Riverdale, and the surrounding area.
The Senior Citizen's cookbooks are still selling well.
They are available at the Cenex C Store and other businesses in Max. Pete Lies
was thanked for making the beautiful shelf that Larry Irwin's wooden train,
spelling out “Max Over 55 Club”, sits on. Notice the picture and come visit the
Senior Center to view it above the serving window by the kitchen. Again, thank you Pete!
It was announced that plastics #1 through #7 can
now be recycled. Various recycled items may be left in the building by the Max
water tower.
