A lot of big "thank yous" go out to the
Max Volunteer Fire Department. With the very dry conditions, their work load
has increased. On this past Friday they
were at two local fires at the same time, with some of their trucks at a house
fire east of Benedict and the other trucks at a grass fire the train started
just east of Max. Thank you!
With the house fire, the couple lost everything,
including some pets. Please check LuAnn Tomlinson's Benedict News for hopefully
more information on how we can help meet the needs of this young couple. And please be extra careful with your
bar-b-q's, your smoking, your burning trash in the rural areas, and with so many
other 'accidental' ways a fire can be started.
Let's be safe and let's keep our firemen safe!
