Grandparent's Day Breakfast sponsored by Max Civic Club will be Sunday, September 13th with serving from 9:30 to 12:30 at the Max Civic Center. A free will offering will be taken.
The Senior Citizens' meeting was well attended with 15 there. The Seniors are planning a breakfast towards the end of September, as a fund raiser. Other fund raiser ideas are needed and also ideas of what kind of things for socializing can be held at the Senior Center. Playing cards and bingo were mentioned as fun events, day or evening, in the Center. Even if you are not a Senior and you have some ideas, please let Joy Lies or Linda Haynes know. It is a beautiful center and it should be filled with fun events for all ages.
Have you looked over your photos for Tamra Huesers to put on the Max website? There are more requests to purchase certain items (on the web site's Swap Shop) so check it out. A used pressure cooker, a play house, and a used metal child's wagon are wanted.
Included with the news this week is a picture of the addition to the Schmidt Museum on Main Street. This addition allows for more room in the museum. Also pictured is the new Max Farm Services building on Main Street. The trailer court has about a dozen or so motor homes and campers in it presently. It is nice to see Max so active.
