August 27, 2009

There isn't much in news this week but there is a request. Tamra Huesers, our website 'gal' is looking for local photos of summer, harvest, or back-to-school to post on the Max website. You can e-mail them to tamraj@rtc.coop. If there are any minors on the photos, she does need permission from the parents to post them. If the photos are sent in by the parents, she will take that as an assumption of consent. If grandparents or others send photos, she will have to contact the parents in order to OK posting them. Help her spice up the website.

You really should check the Max website often as there is always a surprise! Just now I came upon many pictures of the young and not-yet-old Max citizens assembling the new Centennial Park playground set for the children. What a nice addition to that park on Main Street.

Tomorrow, Friday, August 28th is the Senior Citizens potluck at 6 p.m. with the meeting to follow at approximately 7 p.m. You have seen the 'Over 55' people around town alot lately with us serving the Hayne's auction, the Tea Party, and most recently the rummage sale. You won't get bored so come hear what is next on the 'oldsters' agenda.

You will notice the elevator piling grain on the ground again this year. If the 'Big White Combine' (hail) doesn't destroy the crops, you will see many more piles go up.

Reminder: Please check your photos as you most likely have one or more that Tamra can use on Max's website.
