Karen Polsfut surprised Ed and Sally Kabanuck with a visit to their Huron, S.D. home a few week-ends ago. They are doing as well as can be. Karen had a safe trip back home.
Margaret and Gene Zaderaka went to Harvey this past Thursday on business and while there they enjoyed supper out for their 47th. anniversary.
This coming Sunday, September 13th, the Max Civic Club will be serving breakfast for Grandparents' Day. This will be held at the Max Civic Center from 9:30 to 12:30 and a free will offering will be received to help defray the cost of producing the Community Calendar. .
The Max Over 55 Club's French Toast and Sausage Breakfast on September 27th will be held at the Max Civic Center. Serving will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. A free will offering will be received and subsidized by Thrivent. This will be used for the ongoing success of the Senior Center in Max.
Today, September 10th, is the Well Child and WIC Nutritionist at 9:00 and Foot Care at 1:00 at the Max Civic Center.
Monday, September 14th, Civic Club will be held at 6 p.m.
A quick drive through Max during the Labor Day week-end showed many 'laboring'. Some were shingling roofs, scraping paint off houses, painting houses, repairing houses or washing vehicles.
Coming up is the Max Civic Club's Annual Steak Fry and Dance on Saturday, October 24th at the Max Civic Center.
