January 14, 2016

This coming Saturday evening, the 16th, is the Max High Homecoming in Max, playing against Our Redeemers Lutheran Church from Minot.

Monday, January 18th, there will be a coloring class for adults at the Max Library at 2 p.m.  You may bring your own coloring books and colored pencils but these will also be provided.

Max has a need for a food pantry and you will find one at Our Savior Lutheran Church. This will be open every third Monday of the month from 2-3 p.m. and 5-7 p.m. The next opening is Monday, January 18th.

The following Friday, 22nd, is the Max Senior Citizens' noon potluck and meeting. That is the fourth Friday in January.

On Valentine's Day, February 14th from 9-1 at the City Hall there will be a free will breakfast (french toast, scrambled eggs and sausage) and a bake sale. All proceeds will go to Our Savior Church's "Raise The Roof" fundraiser. If you would like to donate baked goods for the bake sale, please get ahold of Jessica Henne at 679-2256.

Lorna Sambor had lunch guests at her home Wednesday afternoon: The Rev. Dan Shell from Our Redeemers Lutheran Church in Minot, Lorna's daughter Phyllis, Phyllis Narum and Lila Fannik. They all had a wonderful afternoon.

Congratulations to the NDSU Bison football team on winning their 5th title game in a row, in Frisco, Texas this past Saturday.
