This Friday, August 28th is the Max Senior
Citizens' potluck at 6 p.m. with the meeting to follow. Guest speaker will be
Michelle Effertz of the N.D.S.U. Extension Service, talking to us about knowing
our medications and non-medications. Everyone is welcome. You do not need to be
a member of the Senior Citizens to take in this program, but if you would like
to join, you will find the yearly membership dues very reasonable and it will
give you free use of the Senior Center where you may find friends there on week-days
playing cards, doing jig-saw puzzles, or just visiting while having a cup of
coffee. Anyone up for a game of Scrabble?
On Sunday the 23rd a reunion planning meeting was
held. There will be more meetings, taking place on the 4th Sunday of each
month at 2:30 at the Max Senior Center. The All-School Reunion is scheduled for
June 24-26, 2016.
The Annual Civic Club Steak Fry will be held on
October 24th.
Drive carefully, watching out for little ones
going to and from school! It is that
time of the year, once again!
"I don't know what the big deal is about old
age. Old people who shine from inside, look 10 to 20 years younger." Dolly
