Marlys Agnes Lindquist Curfman Hoch, 92, has passed away in California. Marlys Lindquist was born on the farm, July 21, 1922 to Anna and Carl Albert Lindquist, of Max. She graduated from Max High School May 23, 1940.

Janice Irwin Peterson, 70, of rural Makoti passed away April 2, 2015. Janice Irwin was born into this world on April 13,1944 to Lloyd and Lena (Walz) Irwin of Max. She was raised on the family farm north of Max and graduated from Max High School in 1962 as the class Valedictorian.

We extend our sincere sympathy to these families.

Tonight, April 23rd, the Solo and Ensemble Concert will be held at the Max Public School at 7 p.m.

Monday, April 27th the Scholastic Banquet will be held. For more information, please contact the Max Public School office at 679-2685.

Thursday, the 30th and last day of April, the Preschool Graduation will be held at the Max Public School. It is an exciting day for the preschoolers!

SAVE THE DATES: August 7, 8, and 9th will be Max Rodeo Days (5K, Street Dance, Rodeo, Sunday community worship and potluck.) There is no mention of City Wide Rummage Sales, yet.

October 24th will be the annual Steak Fry and Entertainment.
