Foot Care Clinic is today at the Max Senior
Center on Main Street. Please keep your appointment.
The Community Calendar lists the Max Seniors
having their December potluck and meeting on December 28th. This is a mistake
as there will not be any December potluck or meeting. There will be a noon
potluck and meeting of the Max Senior Citizens on January 25th.
Lorna Sambor and Phyllis Narum spent Sunday
afternoon at Lila Fannik's home, celebrating Phyllis's birthday. She even
brought her ice cream cake along, which we all enjoyed.
The fog is thick; driving is hazardous; the trees
are beautiful; and the power lines were down!! The thick frost causes
electrical lines to break or touch, leaving many patrons without power for
heat, lights, and running household appliances. If you have not experienced it,
consider yourself lucky and blessed! A few years ago the area was out of power
for 3 days and the temperatures in the house got down to 40 degrees....wearing
stocking caps and covering up with 8 blankets and bedspreads allowed you to
sleep. And sleep you did, because your
mind wasn't 'busy' as there was nothing you could do all day to keep you
'busy'. So now you cringe when the lights flicker!!
I'm sure many are taking beautiful pictures of
the frost on things....even on fences. Please be sure to have Tamra Huesers
enter them in the Max Web-site's photo area. If you haven't looked in there
yet, or for a long time, please do so. Tim Hauf has also added pictures, along
with Brenda Hauf.
Have a safe and healthy Merry Christmas!

preparation for rainy days that they aren't enjoying today's sunshine." --
