July 5, 2012

We extend our sincere sympathy to Kathy and Warren Huettl in the death of Kathy's sister, Joyce Hatlestad. Joyce and Glen lived in Max before moving to Minnesota. We are so very sorry.

A very good school bus driver has left us too. Herb Schumaier, 85, passed away. His funeral was Monday in Minot and burial was at the Veteran's Cemetery by Mandan. Herb was our school bus driver, as he was for other kids in this area, and he always had a smile for them! We extend our sincere sympathy to his wife, Irene and their family.

There will be a Child Evangelism 5 Day Club from July 9-13, 10-11:30 at 705 Jacobson Avenue in Max. Contact Shirley at 679-2600 for more information or any questions. All children from ages 5-12 are invited for Bible and missionary stories, singing and Scripture memorization and, of course, snacks. We will meet in the back yard. Parents are welcome to attend. Informational flyers will be posted at the bank and civic center.

Joe Huettl may still be needing volunteers to help out at the Max Demolition Derby to be held on July 28th at 1 p.m.  Please give Joe a call at 701-391-5897. You may also find information the Max website.
