Today is Mary Lushenko's special day, June 28th -
her 95th birthday celebration at the Max Senior Center (Over 55 Club) from 2-4.
No gifts please--your presence is her present.
Now I'm going to embarrass myself and tell you
how shocked I was when I married a Max-ite and saw a sign on Main Street,
"Mary's Beauty Shop". I
remember exclaiming and questioning, "Max has a beauty shop!" I am so blessed in knowing Mary. Thank you,
Mary, for being you!
The Magic City Car Club will have their meeting
at the Max City Park tonight, Thursday, June 28th at 6 p.m. The public is
invited to come view the beautiful antique and classic cars on display by this
Club and by the Dakota Cruisers Car Club.
Joe Huettl may still be looking for volunteers
who will be willing to help with the Max Demolition Derby that will be taking
place on Saturday, July 28th at 1 p.m. Anyone interested can call him at
701-391-5897. More information on the Derby can be found on Facebook on the
"2012 Max Demo Derby" page.
As our Granddaughter Zoe's time overseas winds
down, it is amazing the many ways she has been able to keep in contact with us.
The good old phone, and Facebook on the computer, for some. Ethel Hauf's great niece
is also on this trip. The group will be
returning to Bismarck this Friday evening after being gone for 20 days.
