The McLean County Fair is working on putting up their website, and they are looking for photos to use for personalizing the site. Do you have some photos taken at the fair in past years that you are willing to share? They are looking for photos from all aspects of the fair; 4-H and FFA shows, carnival, vendor show, car races, social events, etc. If you send photos with children in them, you need an e-mail or written permission to use them online. These photos can be e-mailed to Tamra Huesers at tamraj@rtc.coop, or phone her at 679-2030 for more information.
Last Friday's Senior Citizen potluck and meeting was well attended, with visitors from the Max Elevator and the Max Fire and Ambulance Department. The May potluck and meeting will be held on May 27th at 6 p.m. with a speaker on Alzheimer’s. Please bring paper products, like paper towels, toilet paper, etc. and personal products like tooth brushes, tooth paste, deodorant, and also bring non-perishable food products. These all go to the McLean County Resource Center in Washburn. The next day, a Saturday, Kyle's Greenhouse will be at the Senior Center during Older Americans Day. There will be a bake sale and free pie and coffee served inside the building. The greenhouse and bake sale will be from 10-2 p.m.
