February 3, 2011

We extend our sympathy to the family of Bruce Pollert, formerly of Douglas. Bruce was a teacher in the Max Public School system in the 1960's. Cards may be sent to 221 Wilmslow Lane, Schaumberg, Ill. 60194-3952.

The Max Community Library's annual Soup and Sandwich Lunch is Feb. 13th from 10:30-1:30. There will be booths to visit and Specialty Baskets to win. Purchase your tickets to win one of these baskets and you do not need to be present to win. These Specialty Baskets are on display in the library.

Did you notice - the can is again on the ice. Tickets are on sale for you to place your guesses as to when it will Plunge into the water. The 'Plunge' has been an annual 'activity' for many years. Take a guess as to when it will Plunge and be a big winner.

There will be an Alumni meeting at the Max School on Feb. 16th at 7 p.m. I hope many of you knew the addresses of 'many' on the list that I put in last week's news. Please contact Heather Lee at 679-2025 and leave a message or send your addresses or information to her at P.O. Box 235, Benedict, ND 58716-0235. I'm hoping you know the addresses of many of the following Max alumni. John Kohler; Kristie Kohler Bovkoon; Mike Kolden; Clara Koochma Alden; Rachel Koorenny Anderson; Tara Koppinger Roger; Darlene Kostenko Tomlinson; Paul Kramer; Connie Krueger Claxton; Larry Krueger; Lorrayne Krueger Williams; Mike Larson; Jennifer Lee Moore; Anna Lockwood; Deborah Marko Dugan; Cheryl Miller Kittleson; Denise Mills Morris; Joel Mills; Mark Mills; Rueben Moseng; Julie Myers Olson; Arley Narum; Penny Nelson Gaskell; Dawn Olson Brown; Alex Orluck; Jamie Pahl; Michael Pahl; Jon Payer; Roland Peterson; Leroy Pettys; Dena D.
