July 8, 2010

This coming Sunday, July 11th at 2:00 at the Max Civic Center, the Max Alumni and anyone else interested in helping with the upcoming reunion, will meet. The All School Reunion draws closer and closer - in 2011 - so let's support the Alumni by coming to the meeting.

No Civic Club meeting on July 12th. Next meeting will be August 9th.

Mary Lushenko will be hosting a 5-DAY CLUB in her backyard the week of July 12-16 from 1:30-3:30 each day at 705 Jacobson Avenue. All children ages 5-12 are welcome for Bible lessons, songs, great games, fun activities, memory verses, snacks and prizes. You can contact Shirley at 679-2600 for more information. The club is sponsored by Child Evangelism Fellowship and each teacher and helper has been trained and screened to ensure your child's protection. Parents are welcome to attend.

Then Saturday, July 17th, the first Annual Max Demolition Derby will be held at 1 p.m. on the west edge of Max. Contact Joe at 391-5897 for rules, information, or questions.

Max City Wide Garage Sales will be held Saturday, August 7th. Contact Susan Halverson at 679-2607 or 679-2697 by July 31st if you are having a garage sale.

IMPORTANT: The LWML of St. Matthew's is seeking names and addresses of area connected military serving overseas, to send "care packages" to, at the end of July. If you know someone to include in the mailing, please contact Kathy at 679-2499 or one of the ladies from the church.

Eugene and Margaret Zaderaka enjoyed spending July 3rd at their son Dean's cabin at Lake Metigoshie. At dusk the group of eleven watched the fireworks over the lake. Then on July 4th they enjoyed spending time with their son, Mark at their camper in Centennial Campground at Lake Sakakawea. At dusk their group of fifteen watched the fireworks over the lake. They sincerely hope you had a safe July 4th.
