January 22, 2016

The fourth Friday of the month is this coming Friday, 22nd, and is the noon potluck with meeting to follow for the Max Senior Citizens.

Then Sunday, the 24th, there will be another planning meeting for the Max Alumni Reunion. This is held at the Max Senior Citizens building at 2 p.m. The Max Reunion is set for June 24-26 of 2016. Postcards with information about registration and updating information for the book have been sent out.  If you have not received one, send your updated address to wkjh@restel.net so the database can be updated.

The February 8th supper meeting for the Civic Club is also their membership drive.  Entertainment will be provided.  Watch your free Community Calendar for February for more information on this event.  Read the back of this month's Community Calendar for information on what all the Civic Club can do for the community and for your children.

The Max Cafe will be closed on Monday, January 25th and bingo has returned to Southside Lounge on Tuesdays.  Sponsored by GAIA.  For more information, contact the Lounge.

Max's Food Pantry at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Max is open every third Monday of each month from 2-3 p.m. and 5-7 p.m.

On Valentine's Day, February 14th from 9-1 at the City Hall there will be a free will breakfast of french toast, scrambled eggs and sausage along with a bake sale. All proceeds will go to Our Savior Church's "Raise The Roof" fundraiser.  If you would like to donate baked goods for the bake sale, please get ahold of Jessica Henne at 679-2256.
