On Friday, September 18th starting at 2:30 at the Over 55 Building (Max Senior Citizens Center), you are invited to come visit with Tena (Palanuck) Amber from Salem, Oregon. Her husband, Sandy, was the Pastor of the Max Baptist Church.

Her daughter, Ruth Palanuck, of Spokane, Washington will be here also and they both would enjoy visiting with everyone and especially with 'you'!

Erna Hauf turns 101 ! The family hopes you will help her celebrate her 101st birthday in the coffee room at the Benedictine Living Center in Garrison on September 26 with coffee and cake from 1-3 p.m.

Harold Jacobson and Patricia Johnson were married September 5, 1965. The family is planning an open house for them at Our Savior Lutheran Church on Sunday, September 27th, after harvest is done. The open house will be from 2-4 p.m. No gifts please.

Monday, September 14th is Max Civic Club at 7 p.m. and Tuesday, September 15th the school pictures will be taken. The Max Senior Citizens will meet at 6 p.m. on the last Friday of the month, September 25th at 6 p.m., for their potluck and meeting.

The next Planning Meeting for the 2016 All School Reunion will be held at the Senior Center at 2:30 on Sunday, September 27th. Everyone is welcome to attend and take part, even if you aren't a Max Alumni.

The Annual Max Steak Fry will be held on October 24th. Only 300 tickets are being sold.

Missionary Rod Kastner of Zimbabwe, Africa has been a guest at Lila Fannik's home. Coming to visit with him were Dennis and Karla Fannik, Lorna Sambor, and Mike and Agnes Dobowey.  He will be returning on October 6th to Zimbabwe where he teaches at the Bible Seminary College.  He is 60 years old and it truly has been fun to have him here.
