January 22, 2015

At the Max Homecoming, Kayla Delzer and Keegan Swanson were named Queen and King. What an honor! Gwen Scheresky and Chris Brunsell were nominated as Princess and Prince.

The Building Remodel Informational meeting was held on January 21st and if you missed it, watch for future meetings. There are serious concerns at the Max Public School that are covered in these meetings.

January 22nd is the Preschool Screening time at the Max Public School. Phone the school at 679-2685 for more information.

Starting on Tuesdays, quilting will be held at St. Matthew Lutheran Church at 10 a.m. Anyone in the area is welcome to join the group. No quilting skills are necessary. All are invited to cut squares, sew and tie quilts. There is a potluck lunch at noon.

The Max Senior Citizens should be meeting this Friday, January 23rd at noon. It is listed incorrectly on the Community Calendar. If you have any questions, phone a senior citizen member.

Because of a very low turn-out, the Max Senior Citizens have lost being a part of the Meals on Wheels program. Frozen meals are available but no more fresh meals served at the Senior Center.

Southside Lounge has bingo twice a month on Tuesdays. The next time will be on January 27th.

And then comes Valentine's Day! The Max Cafe will be offering specials for the occasion. Be watching the paper and signs in area businesses for further details.
