There was a surprise family gathering to
celebrate Vi Kostenko's 95th birthday this past week-end. She was very
surprised! Almost all of the relatives were able to come. What a wonderful time
for Vi and her family.
The Max Kindergarten Graduation is tomorrow,
Friday, May 17th at 10 a.m. at the school. The Max High School seniors will
graduate the next afternoon, May 18th, at 2 p.m.
Next Friday, May 24th Giffey's Yard and Garden
will be selling their flowers and plants at the Max Senior Center on Main
Street, from 3-7. This is Older American Day so the Seniors will be serving
coffee and bars. There will not be a bake sale this year.
At 6 p.m. the Seniors' potluck will be held, with
the meeting to follow. Bring only salads.
City Wide Rummage Sales are June 15th 9-3. If you
are interested in having your sale listed on the city map, contact Jessica
Henne at 679-2256 or henne4u@rocketmail.com no later than June 7th. There will
be a $5 fee and you will get house numbers and maps to hand out on Friday, June
14th.
