MAX PLUNGE TIME - The can is on the ice so it
urgent that you buy your tickets for your guesses as to when it will 'plunge'
into the water. The deadline is coming fast - April 1st at midnight. One ticket
costs $5 and you get three guesses with each ticket. The guesses are in the
form of the "Month; Day; Hour; Minute; AM or PM. For those of you who are
out of town or out of state, you may mail your $5 per ticket to Max Community
Enterprise at P.O. Box 203; Max, N.D. 58759-0203. Please send along your three
guesses, per ticket, written on plain paper. If you would like a picture of
your ticket or the stub, please specify and include an address.
This Sunday, March 10th from 9 to 1 the Max Over
55 Club will be serving a French toast and sausage breakfast at the Civic
Center on Main Street. There will also be a silent auction of craft and
collectible items. Come bid against your neighbor!
The Max Civic Club needs new members and younger
members to help promote the interests of all age groups. These are some of the
interests the Civic Club contributes to: Garrison/Max Ambulance Service; Post
Prom Party; McLean Family Resource Center; Summer Recreation Program. The whole
community needs to help the Civic Club maintain connection to these events. The
Civic Club has their own events such as the Annual Steak Fry and Dance; Santa
Day; Grandparent's Day Breakfast; Summer Solstice Picnic; City Wide Garage
Sales. Each of these events is very well attended not only by Max residents but
by those living in nearby communities.
Monday, March 11th at 7 p.m. the Civic Club will
be having an Ice Cream Social and Membership Drive. Come see what the club is all about and enjoy
the sweets!

another." Montaigne
