Stay where you are and stay warm! Another wind
chill advisory out for the area.....only around 40 degrees below zero!
Tomorrow, Friday the 22nd, the Max Senior
Citizens will be having their noon potluck and meeting at the center. At 1:30
there will be a presentation by Norval and Cary Semchenko on their Missionary
trip to Chile. There is a request for you to bring non-perishable foods to the center;
they will then be delivered to the McLean County Resource Center in Washburn.
There was a notice in the county paper that the Resource Center was low on
food.
On Friday, March 1st at 7 p.m. there will be a
joint service with all the churches for World Day of Prayer. This will be held
at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Max. Gerald Olson of Washburn will be
speaking. Gerald was badly burned several years ago so it will be interesting
to hear his testimony. His parents are Richard and Alice Olson of Max. Everyone
is welcome.
On Sunday, March 10th the Max Senior Citizens
will be serving breakfast at the Civic Center. There will be a silent auction -
and they are fun - so come bid the items up so your friend won't get it!! In
the auction will be hand crafted items by the Senior members. More details
later.
