January 17, 2013

The weather here has become 'iffy' by giving us a blizzard already and almost daily warnings of blowing snow and low visibility plus slippery roads.

Tonight, Thursday at 7 p.m. there will be a training session on Overdrive and Zinio. This is a library program for books, audio books, magazines, to use on your computer, iPad, iPod, Nook or Kindle. These items are available to use for free with your Max Community Library card. If you have any questions, please contact Amy Hauf, Director of the Max Community Library at 679-2263 or e-mail her at maxlib@rtc.coop.

The Child Evangelism Good News Club will be meeting in the school cafeteria a few minutes after school lets out. Meeting dates are: January 22nd, a Tuesday; January 28th, a Monday; February 4th, a Monday; February 11th, a Monday; February 19th, a Tuesday; and February 25th, a Monday.

Ben and Heather will lead the club. They are from the Minot Child Evangelism office. Come and enjoy. These meetings are open to all children. There will be refreshments.

Next Friday, January 25th the Max Senior Citizens will have their potluck and meeting at noon.

Sunday, February 10th the Max Community Library will have their Annual Soup and Sandwich Lunch. More details later on.
