Tomorrow, October 26th is the Senior Citizens' noon potluck with the meeting to follow. Bring non-perishable foods to be delivered to the Washburn Resource Center.

Then the next evening, October 27th, the Max Civic Club will be holding their Annual Steak Fry at the Max Civic Center on Main Street.  Serving will be from 5-8 p.m. Tickets can be purchased in advance at Max Businesses. A dance will follow the meal with Wayne Douglas, and there is also Casino Night, including Blackjack, Pull tabs, and Poker.

Sunday morning, October 28th Our Saviors Sunday School kids will be singing at the 9 a.m. Church Service. There will also be a bake sale after church.

The NW zone of the Lutheran Women's Missionary League held their annual fall rally on Saturday, October 20th at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Minot. Kathy Huettl and Idamae Hauf attended from Max. Dr. James Lamb, Executive Director of Lutherans for Life was the featured speaker and gave a powerful presentation of their program.

The Max Public Library's Halloween Party is October 31st for children ages Pre-School through 6th grade. Games and prizes 3:15-4:15; Costume contest at 4:15. Hot dogs, chips and juice will be served from 4:25-5:00 p.m.

Movie Matinee will be held Sunday, November 4th at 3 p.m. in the Max Civic Center.

Edward and Idamae Hauf traveled to New Melle, MO recently and enjoyed spending several days with their son Darrin and family. The fall colors were beautiful in MO too!! While in Missouri they enjoyed an afternoon visit with Ed's cousin, Marilyn Whiting Dowell and her husband, Jim, at St. Charles, MO.
