January 26, 2012

We extend our sincere sympathy to Torres Olson's family. Torres passed away in Garrison last week at the age of 88. She is a longtime Max residence and many of her children now live in Max and the area. Her husband, Robert, lives in Garrison. We are so sorry. I first met Torres when she and others would baby-sit at Our Saviors Lutheran Church so their Mommies, me included, could attend Ladies Aid.

Tomorrow, Friday 27th at noon is the Max Senior Citizen member's catered meal and fun to follow. This is a belated Christmas party.

Then a short two weeks away is the Max Community Library's 4th Annual Soup and Sandwich Lunch at the Max Civic Center. Times are 10:30-1:30; raffle tickets are on sale now.

The Plunge can is out on the pond! Now you can start guessing as to when it will 'plunge' into the water. Tickets are on sale around town at the businesses.
