March 31, 2011
This coming Sunday, April 3 at 3:30 St. Matthew's LWML is hosting a prayer service titled "Being with Jesus-Living on the Edge!". A salad supper will follow. Everyone is invited to join them for a fun-filled afternoon of fellowship. Anyone having questions can contact Kathy Huettl or Sandy Hauf. The Max Senior Citizens held their noon potluck and meeting this past Friday, with several from the business community as guests. Their cookbooks are selling quickly. You may find them at local businesses. T-shirts without seams on the sides are still needed so if you can, drop them off at the Senior Center. Their condition or color does not matter. These are then fixed so they can be crocheted into sleeping mats for children overseas. On April 11th the McLean County Council will meet at the Max Senior Center at 2 p.m. This is open to the public. There will be a guest speaker talking about 'living with reduced vision'. Tonight, March 31st, the deadline for purchasing tickets for the Plunge comes at midnight. All-School Alumni Reunion for July 1-2, 2011 is fast approaching. Have you registered? Go to http://www.maxnd.com/alumni.php. "Man can live about forty days without food, about three days without water, about eight minutes without air....but only for one second without hope."
