The second session of swimming lessons will be held August 3--7 from 2:00 to 3:30. For those of you riding the bus, please be at the school by 1:15 all week long. Payment of $32.00 each child, made out to the YMCA, needs to be brought on Monday as well. We will return to the school at approximately 4:15. If you have any questions, please call Lynae at 679-2505.

Friday and Saturday, August 7th and 8th is the Max Rodeo and on the 8th are the city wide rummage sales. Please contact Susan Halverson if you plan on holding a rummage sale. There will be a large rummage sale at the Senior Center (Over 55 Club) with items the seniors have brought in. Proceeds will be used for the ongoing success of the center. All of these sales start at 9 a.m. and maps of all sales will be available in town.

The next meeting of the Max Alumni Reunion committee is set for Sunday, August 9th at 2 p.m. in the Commons Room of the Max School. Election/confirmation of officers will be held for co-chairman, secretary, and treasurer.

Chairpersons and members for the following committees are also being sought:: fundraising; registration and packets; mailing; set-up and take-down for event; Saturday banquet - set-up and take-down; meal planning; entertainment - Friday night dance, Saturday afternoon, Saturday night, kids' activities, clean-up; parade; Sunday activities; special rooms - Meet the Teachers; Memory; etc; booklet and pre-registration. A pre-registration form, area to sign up for committees and information on the event can be found at the alumni website at http://www.maxnd.com/alumni.html.

Everyone is encouraged to attend the meeting to provide their input so a successful reunion will be held.

Wedding Dance - Friday, August 14th, 2009 for newlyweds John and Kathy Swanepoel. Free admission and everyone is welcome! Main Street in Max; 6 p.m. social hour and 8 p.m. dance with "All Aces".
